In short, at the time of writing, I’m 29 and a businessman who promotes businesses and brands online, sometimes training staff. I started studying internet marketing back in 2014. It was a very busy year, and I had to find and learn a lot of useful information. I bought and simply downloaded courses on topics that interested me, and then implemented them in my father’s business. But it all started with SEO promotion, which I’d been doing since 2012.
When that became insufficient, I began studying content advertising, social media advertising, and social media in general, email marketing, website and landing page creation. Then I came to traffic arbitrage, which involved teaser networks, a huge pile of landing pages and pre-pages, and a large array of traffic data. There I learned about bots and how they love to eat up budgets, and I also learned how to filter them and work with blacklists. I also happened to watch Business Youth on a recommendation, after which I became part of the community and am currently in touch with many of my classmates. They motivated me to work faster. I then opened a web studio and hired staff.
I decided to set a goal of 10,000,000 UAH in 2015. It was trendy back then, but by the end of the year, I’d netted 3,000,000 UAH, which is a pretty good result for me. Not everyone can reach that amount in a year from scratch in a web studio. After achieving my goal, I felt a bit discouraged and decided to try something new. I fired my entire web studio staff. I bought a franchise for a profitable topic, which I also promoted through teaser networks, and went north for six months.
There, I realized that even there, I was earning more by promoting my clients online, and I was having fun doing it. Only after six months did I realize the results were significant and there was no need to stop. While traveling through northern Russia, I realized it was time to call it a day and go home, where my future wife was waiting for me. A couple of months before and after the wedding, I decided to have a little fun and work only with a minimum number of clients so that they could feed us, but at the same time I was not too busy.
After the north, I really wanted to go to the tropics, and it’s great that my wife was all for it. And now we’re in Bali, blogging and making money from a business that brings us joy and, most importantly, money.
